Tamil Nadu Elections

Looks like the elections in T.N. might go down to the wire per the latest pre-poll estimates. It would be interesting to see how it turns out.

This nauseating of offering freebies has to end. People need to be made aware of their responsibilities rather than falling prey for all this empty talk.

Both the parties are eloquently saying that they will do this and that and the first thing that would happen once in power is to ensure someone files a public interest litigation which would result in a stay order for all the promised free schemes and nothing happens. The people need to realize this.

Ordinary citizens should force the elected officials to atleast honor some of their promises done during the election time. Even the smallest thing done in a proper manner will go a long way in ensuring a better future.

It will indeed be interesting to see if DMK gets elected especially since they are also part of the UPA government at the Center. Instead just indulging in witch hunting which is anyway going to happen, will they also come up with good administration and improve the economy of the state. My guess would be a BIG NO for an answer since the amount of freebies they have promised would pretty much wipe out whatever is there in the state coffers and Central Govt. cannot do much in funds to them.

All in all an interesting week ahead as first phase and another long fruitless adventure for the population of Tamil Nadu.

Good Bye Good Luck Friends.
